Straw Golems Reborn is a mod that adds an adorable straw golem that does automated farming. The way it works is you create a Straw Golem, and you set them loose on your farms. You can place a chest beside your farm and the Straw Golems will automatically access that chest and put the farmed material inside.

How to make a Straw Golem

To make Straw Golems you need to create a carved pumpkin, then you need to create or find a hay bale. Throw your pumpkin on top, and a Straw Golem will spawn.

You can make as many of these adorable golems as you want and put them on a nice big farm. They will get right to work! Pretty incredible, isn’t it?

Works with other farming mods

For some reason, Iron Golems pick the golems up, which is a cool and adorable feature. It’s as if they are the Minecraft version of Rocket Racoon and Groot. These Straw Golems take damage but you can always heal them with wheat. This useful mod also supports other crops in farming mods as well such as Farming for Blockheads and PlantTech 2.

Cuteness beats efficiency

The golems aren’t the fastest if auto farming is what you’re considering. There are faster auto-farming mods and methods out there if that is your goal but nothing beats this mod if you want to add tons of adorableness to the game.

These golems are also very cheap to make only requiring a pumpkin and a hay bale as materials. You can make a huge farm and just spawn a bunch of these golems; they will take care of the farming for you.

Adorable animations

Other adorable animations are also given to the golems such as them staring at you while you’re eating an apple as if they want a piece of it. If you spawn them on top ice, you will see them shivering. When a straw golem strays too far from where you summon it, it will run as fast as it can toward its spawn spot, which is super cute. The golem’s lifespan only lasts seven days and will show deterioration unless you feed them wheat.
