The Exotic Birds Mod is a mod that focuses on adding more bird species to your Minecraft world. This mod allows you to meet new birds with unique and exciting aesthetics. They possess new skills such as the ability to fly, carry objects, attack, and become pets.

Some of the new birds

The cassowary is a very large, protective mob that is passive, but when attacked becomes aggressive. The young cassowaries also look different from the parents. This bird has ten hp. You can use apples to feed them. Be sure to visit the forests, taiga biomes, and savannas if you would like to see one.

Another bird added by this mod is the duck. A little bird that can be discovered around rivers and beaches. You can easily locate these birds because of their quack. Though, it is hard to tell if a baby duckling is a duck or a drake because of how similar they look to each other.

Flamingos are pink, somewhat large birds. Wherever there is water, you will surely find them. To keep their body heat in check, they will stand on one leg. They can be fed with wheat seeds and have six hp.

Another new bird added by the Exotic Birds mod is the ostrich. These large birds inhabit desert biomes. They are the birds that lay the biggest eggs. Given that they have eleven hp, they are not easy to be defeated. They love apples, just like cassowaries do.

More mobs, more fun!

This mod is a perfect addition to similar mods that aim to add more animals in-game, such as the Better Animals Plus mod. Vanilla Minecraft mobs and animals can be sometimes boring especially since their block designs are somewhat limited to standard-sized squares. The birds in this mod are not limited to what’s been discussed above, there are a lot more on the list.
